Board 127 provides the training, education and support you need to get started.

New officials receive the training and education needed to begin officiating boys basketball in just a few months.

Training includes:

  • Basketball rules and interpretations
  • On-court mechanics and positioning
  • Game management and communication
  • Testing and certification requirements
  • Ongoing development and mentorship

Please try to Pre-register with IAABO U‍ ‍before 1st class.

After you pass the High School Rules Course, you will need to complete the Crew of Two Opposite Side Mechanics.

FEES & REQUIREMENTS

The total fee for the candidate class is $260, payable as follows:

$110 — Paid directly to IAABO University through its online payment system.

This fee includes:

  • IAABO Rules Course

  • Online quizzes and final examination

  • IAABO Handbook

  • Online Crew of Two – Opposite Side Mechanics Course


$150‍ ‍— Payable by check or money order directly to IAABO Board 127.

This fee includes:

  • Floor Exam

  • BD127 Membership Dues for 1st Year



Candidates who successfully pass the written examination and floor test will become members of IAABO Board 127 and are expected to attend all required upcoming meetings to remain in good standing.
